MYCHAL THREETS grew up homeschooled in Fairfield, California, and was hooked on libraries from the time he received his first library card at the age of 5. As a young adult in that same library, he worked his way up from shelving books to the role of supervising librarian. He is a recipient of the 2024 I Love My Librarian Award, one of TIME Magazine’s 2024 Next Generation Leaders, and a 2024 Library Journal Mover & Shaker.
