Liz Cook

LIZ COOK is an award-winning freelance food writer and creator of the experimental food newsletter Haterade. She served as the restaurant critic for The Pitch from 2016 to 2023. Her freelance work has appeared in Eater, Bon Appétit, Serious Eats, BBC, and Midwesterner, among many other publications. She has been anthologized in the Best American Food Writing series and received awards from the Association of Food Journalists and the Association of Alternative Newsmedia.
